Silvia Bächli has exhibited extensively with one-woman shows from 1982, the past five years at a.o. Instituto Moreira Salles, Brazil (95), Galeria Vera Munro, Hamburg, Germany (95), Galeria Oele, Amsterdam (95), Kunsthalle Bern, Switzerland (96), Barbara Gross Gallery, Munich (97), Kunstmuseum Bonn (97), Galerie Nelson, Paris (97), Skopia, Geneva (97), 1998 A7D, New York, The corridor, with Eric Hattan, Reykjavik (99), Kabinett für aktuelle Kunst, Bremerhaven, Germany (2000).

She has participated in several large exhibitions, a.o. Transitt - New art from Switzerland at the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Oslo in 1993.

Other large exhibitions in later years include Views from Abroad, Whitney Museum, New York (96), Tapko-Sunday Morning Walk, Brandts Klædefabrik, Odense, Denmark (98), Ideal and Reality, Rupertinum, Salzburg (98), Zeichnung, Kunsthalle Basel (99) and 2000 Flowers, Schaffhausen Art Association.
