Martin Assig held his first one-man exhibition at Gallery Westernhagen, Cologne in 1985 and has often exhibited there throughout the years.

He has also exhibited at a.o. Gallery Metta Linde (88, 92, 95) in Lübeck.

During the past five years he has exhibited at a.o. Gallery Senda, Barcelona (96), Kunsthall zu Kiel (96), Museum van Hedensdaags Kunst, Gent (97), Gallery Volker Direl, Berlin (97), Épaules gothiques, Gallery Vidal-St.Phalle, Paris (98), Vanguardia Galeria de Arte, Bilbao 899), Brechthaus Weissensee, Berlin (99) and Gallery Maurits van de laar, The Hague (99).

He has participated in many group exhibitions in Germany, Switzerland, France, Greece and Spain.
